About the Grief Support Programme

‘Grief is a deeply human response to loss, not a problem to be fixed or a process to be rushed’.

This compassionate, integrative grief and support programme offers a gentle, supportive space for those navigating bereavement in all its forms, whether the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a pet, health, identity, or a sense of self.

Informed by the five stages of grief, commonly described as shock or denial, anger, bargaining, sadness or depression, and acceptance, the programme recognises that grief is not linear and that individuals may move between these experiences in their own unique way.

Blending counselling, coaching, and hypnotherapy, the course supports emotional regulation, meaning making, and reconnection with inner resources, allowing each person to be met where they are and supported at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and right for them.

Programme Structure: Six Supportive Sessions

This programme is offered as a six-session therapeutic pathway, designed to gently support individuals through grief while respecting that everyone’s experience of loss is unique.

The sessions blend counselling, coaching, and hypnotherapy, and are adapted to meet each person where they are emotionally and psychologically.

Session 1 – Understanding Your Experience of Loss

The first session provides a safe, compassionate space to talk about what has been lost and how it has affected you. This may include the loss of a loved one, a relationship, a pet, a role, health, or a sense of self.

Together, we explore where you feel you are in your grief right now, helping to normalise your experience and reduce feelings of confusion, isolation, or overwhelm. There is no expectation to talk about anything you are not ready to share.

Session 2 – Exploring Grief and Creating Emotional Safety

In the second session, we gently explore how grief can show up in different ways and at different times, informed by the five stages of grief while recognising that these are not experienced in a fixed order.

The focus is on understanding your emotional responses and identifying ways to support your nervous system. Where appropriate, this session may include a light introduction to relaxation or guided imagery to promote calm, safety, and emotional regulation.

Session 3 – Hypnotherapy for Emotional Processing and Support

This session uses hypnotherapy to work at a deeper, more experiential level. Hypnotherapy can help soften emotional intensity, support emotional expression, and strengthen inner resources.

The work is carefully tailored to you and may focus on soothing difficult feelings, processing aspects of loss, or creating a sense of inner steadiness and safety.

Session 4 – Choice-Led Integration Session

Session four is guided by your needs and preferences. It may involve further hypnotherapy, counselling, coaching, or a blend of approaches.

This session often focuses on integration, helping you make sense of your experience, explore shifts in identity or meaning, and support the ongoing relationship you have with your loss, rather than trying to erase it.

Sessions 5 & 6 – Ongoing Support Sessions (Used as Needed)

The final two sessions are flexible support sessions, which can be used at any point following the initial work. These sessions are available for check-ins, emotional support, hypnotherapy, or simply space to talk things through.

Many people find these sessions particularly helpful around anniversaries, unexpected emotional waves, or times of transition.

Grief Support Programme Aims and Costs

This programme is not about moving on from grief, but about learning how to live alongside loss with greater understanding, emotional steadiness, and self-compassion.

The full six-session programme is offered at £480, which includes two flexible support sessions that can be used at times when you feel you need additional space or reassurance.
