Fibromyalgia: a compassionate integrative support journey

Fibromyalgia is not a sign of weakness, and your pain is real. It is your nervous system’s alarm turned up too high — a signal that your body and mind need understanding, care, and practical support.

This six-session integrative programme offers a safe, supportive space for people experiencing fibromyalgia to explore and manage the physical, emotional, and cognitive effects of this condition.

Whether you are living with widespread pain, stiffness, fatigue, sleep disruption, or “brain fog,” this course provides practical tools, techniques, and guidance to help you feel more in control of your body and your life.

These include somatic exercises to reconnect with your body and release tension, breathwork and guided relaxation to reduce stress and nervous system over-activation, habit-based strategies to support sleep, movement, and energy management, and hypnotherapy or coaching techniques to strengthen motivation, confidence, and emotional resilience.

Each session is tailored to meet you where you are, supporting you at a pace that feels safe, respectful, and empowering.

What Can Cause Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a complex condition with causes that are still not fully understood, but research suggests that a combination of genetic, environmental, and psychological factors may contribute to its development.

Many individuals report experiencing fibromyalgia after a traumatic event, infections, or significant stress, indicating that the condition may be linked to the body’s natural response to trauma and imbalance.

Abnormal levels of certain neurotransmitters and hormones, along with altered pain processing in the nervous system, are believed to play a crucial role, leading to heightened pain sensitivity and fatigue.

Additionally, co-existing conditions such as sleep disturbances and anxiety can further exacerbate symptoms, making it essential to adopt a holistic approach to understand and manage this multifaceted disorder.

Programme Structure: Six Supportive Sessions

Session 1 – Understanding Your Experience & Fibromyalgia

This session provides a safe space to explore how fibromyalgia affects you physically, emotionally, and cognitively.

Together, we look at symptoms, triggers, lifestyle factors, and emotional wellbeing.

The session introduces the concept of central sensitisation — how the nervous system processes pain — and helps you understand why everyday sensations may feel amplified.

Session 2 – Hypnotherapy for Nervous System Regulation

A dedicated hypnotherapy session to calm the nervous system and reduce pain sensitivity.

Techniques include guided relaxation, breathwork, and somatic awareness to reconnect with your body and support energy regulation.

Session 3 – Practical Strategies & Habit Support

Focuses on coping with daily symptoms through practical approaches: pacing, gentle movement, sleep support, and energy management.

Hypnotherapy may be included to reinforce sustainable habits, reduce unhelpful patterns, and strengthen confidence in your ability to manage symptoms.

Session 4 – Hypnotherapy for Pain Perception & Emotional Resilience

Deepens hypnotherapy techniques to reduce perceived pain, build resilience, and support emotional wellbeing.

Somatic anchors are used to strengthen confidence, calm the nervous system, and empower you to feel more in control of your body and life.

Sessions 5 & 6 – Ongoing Flexible Support

Flexible sessions designed to reinforce learning, offer emotional support, or address new challenges as they arise.

These sessions may include hypnotherapy, coaching, somatic practices, or guided conversation, depending on what feels most helpful.

They recognise that fibromyalgia is a non-linear condition and that support may be needed as symptoms fluctuate.

Cost & Commitment

The full six-session programme is offered at £480, which includes the two flexible support sessions.

This structure provides continuity of care, personalised guidance, and practical tools to help you navigate fibromyalgia with greater confidence, balance, and ease.

The programme is designed to be supportive, flexible, and paced to your individual needs, recognising the complex interactions between mind, body, and nervous system in this condition.
